Japs says:
sup!
Colin - Back at uni says:
The sun
Japs says:
observant. But it is not up, it's horisontal. For our concept of "up" is in accordance to astrophysics completely and utterly stupid because what we consider "up" could well be "down" for another planet, or "sideways". When you're on the moon, for example, you look -down- at the Earth. We only call it "up" because it's above us - but up and what is above are not the same thing.
Japs says:
The above only furthers my disbelief of space and time.
Colin - Back at uni says:
space and time are one and the same
Colin - Back at uni says:
it is safe to say, then, that 'up' is a moot concept
Japs says:
I disagree. Space is a void with no natural direction. Up is a direction. Therefore "up" is an unnatural concept.
Colin - Back at uni says:
I could live with that
Japs says:
yep. So long as you weren't living it up. Ha ha.
Philosophy students are hard to talk to. I should know, I'm one of them.
